-Baking Lesson #3-

Keke.. After half year not baking, suddenly feel like baking before flying away.
I have to do this middle of the night, when the kitchen is free for me to use +.+
Green Tea Cake! Hrm.. not so successful as it is too .. kinda wet and compact and not airy.

I couldn't enlarge this picture, coz I'm not using DSLR to shot. Well .. you can't expect me to bring my baby into the kitchen right?!

Recipe here .. but I changed it actually ^^

Ingredients (picture 1):
A : 4 egg yolks, 100ml water, 60ml oil (I replaced with 50gm butter as .. I can't take oil.)
B : 135gm cake flour, 5gm green tea powder, 1/2 tbspn baking powder, 130gm caster sugar
C : 5 egg whites

Picture 2 : I don't know it's so easy to separate the egg white and the egg yolk! ^^
*Preheat oven at 150'C

Methodology :)
1. Mix ingredient B (Picture 3)
2. In another bowl, mix ingredient A (Picture 4) and whisk them.
3. Whip chilled egg whites with electric mixer until you get a bowl of glossy smooth cloud with very fine air bubbles.
4. Make a well in the center of the dry mixture from step 1, pour in the egg mixture from step 2, mix until just combine. [aduyai .. in short, mix 1 and 2 la] (Picture 5)
5. Gently pour the mixture from step 4 onto the surface of the stiff peaked egg white and fold them together. (Picture 6)
6. Pour into cake mold and put into preheat oven and bake for 45-50 minutes. (Picture 7)

And it will come out ugly. (Picture 8) but taste okok (Picture 9) .. haha.. I actually do think the base of cake (Cake la) is ugly without dressing/frosting. Next time must learn to do dressing/frosting d.

:: Village View @ Jalan Reko Kajang ::

The day after I pass my assessment ^^
Called Sakura and Li Xin out for a dinner and bragging session.
And it's actually because I'm craving for something.

Village View. Located at 2 place which is quite near each other.
One is at Bangi and the other one is here, Jalan Reko.
I don't know what so special about this place that at times, my Malay friends from Shah Alam will come over to have a meal here. And they said the ambience is unique. +.+
I won't give further comment, except, I really think it's too dark and too many cats!

I ordered this! Maggie goreng. RM5.80? Can't remember eh.
So damn oily. +.+

Their nasi goreng belacan.
Which they keep saying it's not spicy, but for me, one spoon already enough to stop me from eating this. Hehe.. talking about different level of definition of spicy.

Tada!!~ the main thingy.
Satay ayam is RM0.70 a stick and kambing is RM1 a stick.
I don't remember last time it is this expensive.
Hrmm .. i like the kuah kacang actually. Hehe..

And one creature this place is rich with. Come .. let's spot the similarity in this pic!
I remember can't stop laughing looking back at the pictures. Ahh.. I started laughing there itself.
This place really what the r .. but we still will come back as it is convenient.

:: Food Garden @ The Gardens Mall ::

It's been awhile since I came to Midvalley. *talking about phobia*
More over, it's been awhile since I'd been into this food court.
Was here the other day last few weeks ago to catch up a lunch with a friend.
Due to no idea what to have and so many people in the mall *after having "baby", I kinda dislike being in malls. felt that it is too crowded and stuffy.*

Okie .. so what I like about this food court is still the varieties.

And I choose to have Salmon Bento for RM16+
Well .. what can I say. You can't compare this with the RM40 right?!
It's still foods and it still keep your tummy full, so .. don't complaint ;)

And my friend choose to have Thai food .. which is pineapple rice. :)

I seriously love the green white combination. And when there isn't much people here, it's kinda nice to hang out and catch up with each other here too :)
p/s: my room is green-blue-oak! Love it too. Perhaps should add more white stuffs ^^

:: Restoran Chan Yew Kee @ Bukit Serdang ::

This is like don't know the how many times I came here. Hehe..
Couldn't locate a better place around here for ok-ok price and taste of crabs.

Come in 2 category of price depending what flavor you want.
So far I just tried marmite and sweet and spicy, which both cost RM38/kg each.
Well .. i'm very loyal, you know? ^^
Nevertheless, next time want to try salted egg!

Ahh.. as usual. We will order one 'dai chow' also.
Can't expect us to just have crabs the whole night, right? :)

:: Restoran Jeti @ Kuala Selangor ::

Was browsing through my pictures to delete most of it. Somehow make my hand feel itchy to blog it up before dump it all in bin. *talking about my laptop is running out of space and going slower.*

So .. alrite .. here I am. On a Saturday night, after frustrated updating my the BlackBerry .. better switch to blogging awhile as it does decrease my stress sometime.

Okie .. so here I am to Sekinchan/ Kuala Selangor again. Despite the previous scary trip to here. :) and to more dramatic, this time I went alone to find my sweetheart there :)

Hanging out with you once in awhile is good, as you will always remind me to be matterealistic realistic and wake up from broken dream :)

Anyway .. after taking pictures around at Sekinchan *love the green paddy field. It's so big and somehow reminds me how hard it is to get those rice you wasted each day.* .. off we go for our dinner at Restoran Jeti. Please do not ask me for direction. It's way too complicated to explain. But seriously, it's so cheap! Taste wise .. not too bad! :)

Fried Sotong RM8 *normal price*

Sweet and sour crabs RM24! This is like so cheap!
Pan tofu RM8. Ok.. somehow this dish sucks.
Bill come up as RM42 for both of us which kinda surprise me. Very much! ^^
Ok .. some pictures of Sekinchan. Click here for more.

p/s : I will come again end of this year :))
