Restaurant Jie Vietnam @ Cheras

Talking about looking for another restaurant around the area, I'd bumped into people sharing posts of this restaurant. And so, I'd suggested to the family to check out this place.
Some thing like Leng Chee Kang. RM7.90
Not nice.. hahaha.. I would suggest to shave the ice instead of using ice cube.
Vietnamese Popiah. RM2.90/ piece. OK.
Fried Vietnamese Popiah. RM10/ 4 pcs.
I would love it better if they mix in black fungus into the minced meat.
Beef soup without noodles. Hahaha.. special request.
At first bowl, the piping hot soup tasted so good and sweet.
However, once the soup had cold off, I'd feel like the sweetness came from sugars instead of beef being boiled over a long time.
French beans fried with sliced pork. RM14.90. OK.
Grilled chicken. RM12.90 each.
Well.. I don't prefer the marinate sauce. But the family like it.
I would love it if it's marinated with lemongrass sort of sauces.
Grilled tilapia fish RM38.90. OK.

Overall, this meal not able to satisfy my Vietnamese foods crave. I would prefer if they offer a more authentic (or maybe commercialized? localized?) Vietnamese dishes such as caramel pork belly, lemongrass grilled pork etc.  :)

Fish Valley Semenyih

One of my favourite restaurant when I'm back in Kajang.
Too bad, it has became more and more commercialized nowadays.
It gets very crowded during weekends with tourist buses as well.
Should source for other restaurant in future.
Nestum Chicken.
Kangkung Belacan.
Salt grilled tilapia. My favourite dish! Hehe.. but the price can be too expensive.
Vegie fried egg.
Fish cake & Crab meat cake. Nah.. the fish cake was not up to my expectation.
And as usual.. white tom yam soup.

We had repetitively tried these few dishes for few times already. It's really time to look for another good restaurant around this area. Any recommendation?

Acme Bar & Coffee, The Troika

ABC. Had been wanted to come here for a date long ago.
But never had the chance until the other day :)

Love the double volume height with glass windows all the way down.
The natural lights + the smells of the coffee makes me relax :)
But we didn't order coffee anyway. Haha..
We opt to try out Pomegranate Cranberry Juice RM13.
Nah.. the pure pomegranate cold press juice taste much better.
Duck Pasta RM37. This was OK. But the price was on the higher side.
The famous sizzling brownie RM19.
I think it's been a culture that everyone wanted to have a shot of the chocolate being poured onto the sizzling brownie. The waiter asked me "are you ready?" before pouring it down. Haha..
This tasted real good. Not too sweet.
But after ate almost half of the cake, I started to feel queasy.
It's good to have some one share this with you.

Izakaya Kinpachi @ SS17 Subang

On our search for Japanese foods around Subang SS17, we always pass by this restaurant.
And one fine day, we finally decided to give it a try.

As usual, we will order salmon belly. Still searching for that similar taste of salmon belly we had back in New Zealand.
And this plate amaze us. It had almost the same taste. Very fresh and sweet. RM36 for 5 slices.
Wakayama Ramen RM20.
This is disappointing though.
Spider Roll RM23. Nothing special too.
Kaki Hiroyaki RM25.
Cheese baked oyster. Apparently the oyster does not stick to it's shell.
Doesn't give us the feel that this is a fresh oyster.
