Korea House @ Damansara

Craving for Korean BBQ. But under tight budget.
Saw Groupon promotion. Wheeee~
RM45 for 2 main dish, 10 plates of refillable side dishes & refillable green tea.
The side dishes were yummy!
I like the kimchi cause it's not too spicy. *drool*
For the main dish, we'd choose marinated pork ribs.
I wonder why ribs no bone..
And also pork belly.
Here, we do not need to BBQ it ourselves. The waitress will BBQ it outdoor and bring it in for us.
Because we were too hungry when we step in, we worry the package from Groupon is not enough.
So we add on sweet & spicy rice cake RM30.
Frankly, I don't like this. The rice cake is too chewy, i got tired of chewing it.
Korean BBQ. Craving satisfied. Checked.

Too much milk in it.

Johnny Rockets @ Sunway Pyramid

To satisfy another craving of mine. Beef patties!
Everytime I pass by this restaurant at The Curve, I think this is a very interesting and happening restaurant.
Because the waiter and waitress dance to entertain the customers.
The branch in Sunway Pyramid did too. Saw that? And they dance every half an hour.
This is mine!
Patty Beef Bacon Cheddar Single RM24.90
Hrmm.. the patty beef not as juicy as I imagine. A bit disappointed.
Turkey Ham Cream Spaghetti. RM22.90
This is unexpectedly nice. But the portion is too small.
Orange Juice & Pink Guava Juice RM8.90 each.
Blissful Weekend!  :)

The Coffee Club @ Subang Parade

The Coffee Club.
Heard it was Australia's largest hoome-grown càfe.
I was craving for the coffee I tasted in Melbourne. So here I am.
Piccolo Latte. RM8.80
The bf like this so much. He said the taste was not too strong and just nice to kick into his senses.
For me, it is too bitter. No.
Mellocino. RM13.80
Marshmallow + cappuccino.
A big disappointment to me. Not nice at all for me.
Fish & Chips. RM23.90
Blissful weekend although the coffee is so disappointing.

Ah Pek Lee Kou Hock Seafood Restaurant @ Sitiawan

Due to this is a random trip, I did not done any research on where to eat.
Simply googling best seafood in Sitiawan, Mr. Google introduce me to this place.
But it is a right choice although it is also one of those random decision.
Fried Batter Squid. RM16. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Yum!
O-Chien RM11. This is so crispy. Although the oysters is not very big in size, but it is quite a lot.
Kangkung Belacan RM8. You see, they cook it with fresh prawns, unlike in KL where they use dried prawns.
Curry fish head RM39. Nice also.
And their famous Siong Tong La La RM18.
This lala is cook with a lot of cucumbers and no chili. The taste is different from those I had in KL.
This taste 'sweet' from the cucumbers and lala. And a bit 'spicy' from the ginger. Nice.

Total bill come up to RM110 only!
Compare this to what we had in Pangkor, this is much more worthy.
The portion is big and the taste is good.
The family feels very satisfy and happy with this meal :)

Pangkor Island Day 2

On day 2, we took a minivan for a tour around island.
It cost RM80 for a van and the whole tour took around 3 hour.
Our first stop was a temple. We went for a prayer.
This is how the van looks like.
The driver stop by and show us how they built a ship. The cost for this ship is RM850k.
Then we were brought to a factory.
He show us the process of making dried prawns and salted fish.
A lot of hardwork.
We then went to another temple.
And the last stop is the Kota Belanda.
The driver then send us back to the jetty.
And there it is.. our short trip to Pangkor :)

Seafood Rasa Sayang @ Pangkor Island

We was told that Teluk Nipah, Pangkor has the best beach in Pangkor.
The drawback is only Malays foods are available.
Feeling reluctant to take a taxi out from Teluk Nipah, we choose to settle down our dinner at a Malay stall here. Seafood Rasa Sayang.
Seafoods are displayed with price. Price displayed include cooking.
Coconut RM5 each.
We had lime steamed siakap. RM35.
BBQ ray fish (ikan pari). RM30.
BBQ prawns RM10.
Sayur campur RM6.
Sweet and sour crabs RM20.
Grilled squid RM10.

The price might look cheap but the portion is not too big though.
The taste is good for me and rated as acceptable only by the family. Because I grow up eating Malay foods =D

Pangkor Island

It was a long weekend.
Parents come up with a last minute (about 24 hour before the trip) plan to Pangkor Island.
Why not?  XD
We drove all the way from KL. Stopping by Bidor for the duck leg mee and continue our journey to Lumut Jetty.
Return ticket cost RM10.
For a 30 minute ride from Lumut Jetty to Pangkor Jetty.
Taxi are awaiting at Jetty and it's pretty scary to see such aggressive taxi driver fighting for sales.
7 of us took a minivan taxi to our resort in Teluk Nipah, cost RM20.
Budget Beach Resort.
Initially we was skeptical by the name. And price. It only cost RM110/ night for a chalet.
Not that tempting look but still acceptable for me. It is quite clean.
The only unacceptable thing is there is no blanket provided!
After dropping our luggage, we walk out to the stalls beside the beach for a high tea session.
ABC is what you will be looking for in such a hot weather.
Asam Laksa! Yum~
Mee goreng.. fried mee.

After a light meal, we jump into the sea! And enjoy the holiday :)
Everyday, starting from 6pm, there is hornbill feeding activity here.
You can try to feed them. I tried! I felt scary at first, but after few trial, it was actually quite fun :)
Then we stroll along the beach before heading out to hunt for dinner.

BEAM @ Bandar Sri Damansara

This hide out place is found by LCL.
Located in Bandar Sri Damansara, the corner lot of an old shop lot area, which mostly consists of car repairing workshop.
Exterior look of the shop might not seem interesting, but it's a different story when you step in.
Heavily smells of coffee and sound proof from the noise from the workshops outside.
I like the environment, especially the coffee smells that immediately energize me.
I would like to give thumbs up for the service of the staffs.
Once we enter, the friendly staff approach us and find us a seat. And volunteering to offer us another seat when it is vacant, knowing the first seat we have is a little bit sunny. This service was different with the other cafès we went before, where everything is self service.
Beam Signature Ice Coffee RM10. Not bad :)
 Hot Mocha RM12. Nice but..
Not up to the level of mocha I'd tasted in Melbourne. Maybe I should bring some  marshmallow next time and dip it in, to see actually is the main ingredients for the taste I'm looking for is marshmallow.
Our non-working Saturday relaxing moment :)
If you wonder how big is the size of the cup, it is not much taller than an iPhone 4.
Quality over quantity mindset.
 Roasted Chicken Panini RM18.
This is very nice! Like it so much especially the cheese they used :)

Overall, this is one of the best cafè in Malaysia we'd been and we will be coming back someday  :)
