Baking lesson #2 .. coming soon =DDD

Recipe here

MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE

125gm salted butter (if unsalted, add 1/4 teaspoon salt)
100gm dark chocolate
155ml water
12gm cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon instant coffee powder
168gm caster sugar (I think should reduce it)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
125gm self raising flour

1. Preheat oven to 160 degree celcius
2. Grease a 20cm diameter round cake pan
3. Place butter, chocolate, water, cocoa powder, coffee powder and caster sugar in a large saucepan over low heat. (as in picture). Stir occasionally and remove from heat when chocolate and butter have just melted. Transfer mixture to a large bowl and set aside to cool for about 15 minutes
4. Add vanilla and egg to chocolate mixture. Using beaters, beat until combined. Add flour and beat until mixture is smooth
5. Pour mixture into pan and bake for 45-50 minutes. Use a skewer or knife inserted into the centre and should come out clean to indicate cake is baked.

Ganache recipe

60gm chocolate milk (yelks!~)
65gm dark chocolate
50ml thickened cream

1. Place ingredients in a small saucepan over very low heat, stirring occasionally. When chocolate has melted, remove from heat and stir until smooth. Allow ganache to cool to a spreadable consistency before using.

(^^)!~ full of satisfaction today. Happy happy happy =)))
