::2011 Birthday with Besties::

I'm grateful that for so many years, we still able to meet up during our birthdays :)
As usual, although it is just a simple celebration, but the remembrance is what I appreciate.
Thanks Edwin and Bok Yao.
For being there all along. Since uni life. For sharing all the ups and downs that I had in my life. For all the advices and gossips and stories. Thinking back makes me feel old and once so stupid :)
Lovely and special jelly cake :)
Happy :)
Thanks for the macaroons! Once .. I wanted to tried so much but because it is quite expensive, I never really spend on it. But I got a few for my birthday this year! :)

Hope we can stay like this until we grow old!~

Perth, Western Australia

We are back! From Perth, Western Australia.
Never I thought I could make it to Western countries. Pricey is always there in mind whenever a thought of a vacation to Western countries cross over. But this time we made it! With only spending averagely RM3k per person for a 7 days 6 nights vacation.
We are back 2 weeks ago actually. I had so much to share that I don't know where and how to begin with. In the end, I narrate all the grandmother stories in my Facebook, complete with pictures of the whole journey. I had semi-private it. Nudge me if you need it :)

Anyway here are the short story to share with.

Day 1: Perth City - William Woolshed - Kojonup (Lunch at Black Cockatoo Cafe) - Albany (Dinner at HK Cafe, Stay YHA Albany)

Day 2: Albany (Mt. Clarence - The Brig Amity - The Wind Farm - The Gap & The Natural Bridge - The Blowholes) - Lunch at Hungry Jack - Choco Latte - The Toffee Factory - Walpole (Self Cook Dinner, Stay YHA Walpole)

Day 3: Walpole (Hilltop LookOut Point - The Giant Tingle Tree - Valley of the Giants) - Lunch at Fizz Cafe, Pemberton - Margaret River (Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, Self Cook Dinner, Stay YHA Margaret River)

Day 4: Margaret River (Mammoth Cave [did not enter], Jewel Cave [only the Interpretive Center], Leeuwin Estate, Voyager Estate, Lunch at Chicken Treats, The Fudge Factory, Bettenay's Wine and Nougat, Margaret River Chocolate Co. Providore) - Busselton Jetty - Perth

Day 5: Pinnacles and 4WD Sand Dunes

Day 6: King's Park - Bell Tower - Fremantle - Perth Night View

Overall, the this trip was too rush. Rushing from one place to one place, without really having chance to slow down our pace and relax. And some disappointment with the fact that there are few places we need to skip due to time constraint. Nevertheless, it was a very very very nice trip! I miss it already.

::Sg Palas @ Cameron Highland::

Cameron Highland.. one of my favorite place. A place full with memories. Bitter sweet memories.
After few years, I'm back here again. With different group of people, but still the same feeling of warm, joy and love.
Sg Palas Boh Tea Center. A place I used to hang out every week, few years back when I'm having my industrial training up here. Even until now, I like that feeling so much when having a cup of tea here. That relax, peaceful, breezy feeling. :)
With greeny view and cooling breeze. :)
And not forgetting a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Perfect! :)
And of course, with nice people, funny jokes and that warm feeling! :)
Won't forget your picture too.

p/s: I am starting to miss this place already. All in all, I just miss the relax feeling I can get here. And all the bittersweet memories I had built up here =)

.:Dana Sari Accomodation @ Ubud, Bali:.

We spent 2 days and 1 night in Kuta.

The path to the accomodation. It's located inside, and one can simply miss out. @@

The view in front of our homestay.
The view of the homestay. I forgotted to take a picture inside of the room as we were too rush. Basically we just put in our luggage, go out, come back late night to sleep and rush out again the next morning. What I can say is, don't expect a nice hotel room as this is homestay, but it is still ok for a sleep of one night or two :)

::Masa Inn @ Kuta::

For more information, please visit their website.

The complimentary breakfast come with fruit juices. And choices of fruit juices are cordial orange, banana, papaya and pineapple.
Funny how the banana and papaya juice taste so good despite a lil weird! LOL!
Banana Juice!
Papaya Juice!
Pancake.. so Bali pancake look like this. LOL!
Egg.
Cornflakes!
Bacon. The bacon taste so good! LOL...
To be precise, food choices come with Cornflakes, a choice of main meal and toasted bread plus juice.
My opinion, the room and surrounding is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful (proved because some silly event happened) .. although I think you might able to find a lower price stay, but this one is not bad too :)

.:Bali Trip 150111 - 180111:.

Bali .. finally =)

We (me and a bestie) had been talking about going to Bali together to show off the bikini's. We waited and waited and waited but yet still unable to get the cheapest ticket we could place our hand's money on. And finally one day when Air Asia is having the promotion, Steven invite us to join a balinese trip together with his friend with return ticket price of RM300 (which I suppose is not the cheapest but still affordable). But too bad, the bestie can't manage to get the ticket! Anyway .. that was an old story. Get back to current.

So the 4 day 3 night trip has pass us by. Frankly, I didn't do much research/ study for this trip as I had many many other things to busy with *ops .. excuse* .. thank you so much to Charlotte for the incredible effort for planning this trip. So here you go .. what we did.

Day 1 : 150111

We did .. nothing! Lol .. our flight was schedule to be at 350pm from LCCT but it postponed until 5pm+ only depart. And so we arrive safely in Depansar (Ngurah Rai) Airport at 730pm. A blackout welcomed us. And so we stuck in the dark eerie airport with no single dot of lights except from handphones for about 15 minutes. Interesting isn't it?!
And after we get out from the airport, strong wind and rain welcomed us. After all the hassle and being pick up by driver arrange by the hotel (with payment of Rp100k for 3 of us), we arrive our hotel and meet up with 2 more friends there. That was about 830pm already.
After drop off our luggage, we fight through the strong wind and rain to heal our growling tummy. Most of the shops (I think almost all) closed at 10pm. We had our dinner at Sushi Bar Tempura, and then have a short walk at the souvenir shop across the road before going back to our hotel for a rest.
And that night, I barely get any sleep as the electricity keeps tripping on and off, making me feel so eerie. In addition to my not used to sleep on other bed except of my own. But its not the fault of the hotel, I think the whole Kuta town is having electricity supply problem.

Day 2 : 160111

Sky in Bali turn bright as early as 630am. We dreadfully drag ourselves up from the bed, pack our stuffs, go down and have our breakfast that is provided by the hotel and meet our driver, En. Abadi to really start our trip, going to Ubud! :)
It takes about 1 and half hour to reach Ubud from Kuta. And the road is freaking scary *at least for me* .. I can even have road-phobic even though I'm not the driver. The lane is so small for 2 way road and there is just too many motorist and seems like there is no exact rules on how to drive on the road.. as long as you reach your destination, safely. Phew!~
Back to itinerary. On our way to Ubud, we stop by Cenang Batik House, a place that sell souvenirs which can obviously be taken off from the itinerary. *We stop because our driver wanted to rest* And finally reaching Ubud and check in our homestay.
We then stop by Ibu Oka Babi Guling on our way to Tirta Empul. Too bad .. the babi guling is only available from 11am-3pm.. and at 10am, we were too early to be serve. So.. we went directly to Tirta Empul (entrance fees Rp15k).. a temple with hot spring which known as holy water. We didn't get soaked as we did not bring extra clothes. On the path out from Tirta Empul Temple, there were stalls *souvenirs stalls* along the road with crazy sellers that will grab your hand real tight asking you to buy their items which cause us not even dare to walk near the stalls! *how to buy then when dont even dare to go near?!* And their technique of selling things, where they were yelling a very low price and when you go near, you realise that they just yell the low price for fun, and it's too late, you are busted, get hold until you buy their things, or be brave to walk away as fast as you can before they start to grab your hand and not letting go. =.=lll
Anyway .. after Tirta Empul, we then went to Kintamani (entrance fees Rp9k). This place is really a must go! Very scenic view of volcano mountain with lake. And pick any restaurant and you can enjoy your meal with the scenic and breezy environment. We had our buffet lunch at Grand Puncak Sari. With price of RM27, don't expect much. :)
We then headed to Tegallalang as our plan. Green scenic view of paddy field. Padi Bukit. Well .. we spent only 10 minute here, as really .. it's only padi bukit and nothing else. And the padi bukit area is not big. LOL.
Being very much early compared to our schedule, we still proceed our way to Ubud Market, a place for souvenirs too with scary sellers too.
Then we move on to Ubud Palace. Again .. we only spent less than 5 minute *or is it 1 min?* Visitors are only allowed to walk into a small area to take pictures and stuffs. Actually *I'm not sure is this a fact*, while we then walk around Ubud, we found out there is quite a few entrance to the palace. But still each entrance only allow limited area. Nothing really interesting in my opinion.
So we found the Ibu Oka Babi Guling at Ubud Town here and feast it (Rp40k/plate) . Taste really nice! I like the sauce! ^^
After a short walk around the town, we call it a day by proceed to our spa and facial session to relax ourselves :)
Be reminded that you have to get naked for the spa session. Call me paranoid. I just feel so geli .. lol.
After our spa session, we proceed for our dinner at the famous bebek bengil and celebrate Charlotte's birthday. There goes our second day in Bali. :)

Day 3: 170111

Again.. we dreadfully drag ourselves up from our bed and get ready to go Padang Bay for snorkelling. Snorkelling package which includes transportation, equipments and lunch cost us USD48. Well .. if you are not the person who really into snorkelling and flora and fauna, I guess better eliminate it from your itinerary. I won't deny the fun going out off the sea. The clear blue crystal water is so nice! But I dont enjoy dipping myself in that cold wavy water which in the end cost me to vommit out my yummy tuna satay. (Oya.. something worth mention is, on our way to Padang Bay, at Gua Lawah .. there is a stall selling super duper yummy tuna satay! Seriously damn nice!) But still .. I snorkel the sea in Bali! (what ever the sea name is that! lol .. my geography sucks).
After finish our snorkelling session, we went back to Ubud and check out from our homestay and our driver Mr Abadi fetch us to our next destination, Sukawati Market. It's another market that sell souvenirs and not much difference with the previous two. I don't know about you, but I prefer to have privacy while doing my shopping, not voices and hands everywhere promoting stuffs. And fyi, when you are doing shopping at any of the souvenir markets, you can MUST bargain up to 70%. And if you are still not satisfy, walk away and they will offer an even lower price! But still there is nothing interested me to buy. Unless I own a new house because there is a lot of house deco stuffs you can get from here.
After a short walk in Sukawati Market, we then headed to Uluwatu (entrance fees Rp10k) to watch sunset. Nice one and a must go too! We missed the kecak dance though. And after Uluwatu sunset, we headed to Jimbaran for seaside candlelight seafood dinner. From our study, we planned to go for Lia Cafe, but our driver discourage us and suggest us to try Baliku Seafood Restaurant. No doubt, the food is good but ..its quite pricey. Rp750k for sharing of 5. The feeling of having dinner on seaside (on the beach itself) is really nice, but I don't like the idea that it is lit only by candle.. that is too dark!
We call it a day and back to our hotel Masa Inn for a rest.

Day 4: 180111

It's our last day in Bali. So on that day, we did not dreadfully drag ourselves up. Instead we end our beauty sleep at 8am and have our breakfast then proceed to Duty Free Shop (DFS). There you can get the branded things with duty free. Also available is Bali local products. I'm not sure about the price but my dictionary doesn't define that as quite cheap.
We then continue to Tanah Lot. On the way, we stop at a shop selling the famous Kopi Luwak, which is really an expensive coffee, but to no avail.. I do not know how to enjoy coffee. LOL.
We then reach Tanah Lot (entrance fees Rp10k) and enjoy the scenic view. It would be better to come here and watch the sunset, but due to our flight is in the evening, we have to make it here in the noon which cause us sunburnt! Haha.. anyhow, the view is really nice and worth to go.
After Tanah Lot, we really had too much time to be spent before departing to airport. So we end up going back to Kuta town to walk around, since we haven't really spend time wandering around there. It's a nice small city walk and I spent a lot at Matahari Square buying junk foods! LOL. The price in the food mart is cheaper compare to what I had saw in the past few days. There is another mall nearby named discovery shopping mall. But we didn't make it there.
We then rush to Kuta Beach for awhile. The waves is really strong that I don't see anyone swimming. I guess it's better to surf at that type of wave condition. That was our last spot before we head to the airport and say byebye to Bali.

Overall, we can say to be so lucky all along this trip. The driver told us it's been raining cat and dog the day before we came. Although it still rains while we were there, but we manage to do what we planned to do and the sun do come out to set for us to see at Uluwatu (before we reach there, it is raining!). In addition to the last plate of the famous babi guling! (We had the last plate before they close shop and they are closing for a few days because they are shifting away!) And the rain stop for us to have our seaside dinner at Jimbaran. Plus a lot a lot more. We are lucky! =)

The whole trip include air ticket cost me RM1400. (a bit off my budget though)

p/s : I will upload the pictures and more information tentatively.

p/s : I think I made a lot of grammar and language mistake in this whole blog essay.. but I'm so sleepy and my brain doesn't function well. Hehe.. Good Night and Happy CNY! ^^

::Kissaten @ Jaya One::

Christmas 2010.
To be honest, I never anticipate Christmas. Reasons is .. I don't like going for countdown - pushing around with so many people, innocently being spray. I don't understand the joy of that. And my friend once told me, Christmas .. is for people to gather with family and friends, exchange gifts and go to the church, and not to the malls and pushing around. I agree with this.
So well..
Anyhow .. this year is the first time I kind of involving in Christmas. (Ok.. I know I'm being Jakun) .. But of course not to the malls, pushing around, doing countdowns. I had had several Christmas gathering with friends and do some gift exchange and I find it quite fun :P
Fun in a sense of giving and receiving. :)
During Xmas eve, my initial plan is to do some housekeeping and go to sleep. But after some thoughts, that would sound so bad to do that and in the end, we end up going out for Xmas dinner which burns a hole in the pocket. Hahaha..
I'd choose Kissaten, hoping it won't be so crowded and with the roof top seat, hoping for nice view. The turn out is .. a family is having gathering up there and it's kinda noisy for such a nice ambience. (Sorry, I'm that fussy)
Bad news #2 is they only have their Xmas set which cost RM58+ for a set. No choice.

My orange juice! RM8?! This is soo nice!

The set comes with pumpkin soup which taste like mushroom soup to me.

Appetizer of unknown name.

Spring chicken!
Knowing the portion will be big, we just order one set to share.
The chicken is too plain for me. Although it says that there is black pepper sauce, but I don't taste it. Inside the chicken is stuff with pasta which is also tasteless for me.

We add on German Sausage for the price of RM25. Not to my favour though.
Nonetheless, it's a new experience for me - I mean the Xmas eve dinner :)
So hopefully in the coming year, I could have this kind of 'celebration' again :)

::Birthday 2010 ^^::

2010 birthday is over. 2010 is coming to an end too. Welcoming the 2011 :)
I'm taking this chance to thanks all my friends for the birthday lunch/ dinner/ cakes. This year is very much different from the previous year where previous year, I had been having parties and parties and parties. Nonetheless, celebration from the closest still remain. This is how you know which is the most valuable people in life =)
Nonetheless, I had been enjoying and feel very much grateful for the celebration this year too :)
First celebration was from Lembing Gang~
Consists of newly made friends in 2010 when we had a short trip to Lembing, newly friends made in 2010 from Kepong gang and one old lovely friend - Yunn Yunn :)

Thank you very much to Steven for the effort! Love the simple lunch. Love the gifts exchange. Love the photo session. Love the jokes. Love all of you ^^

Thank you guys and girls. Hopefully this coming 2011, we will have a short trip together again yo!

Second birthday celebration was from BFF :)
A never failed celebration since few years back. And each year with a 'different me' isn't it?
This year still remain having Japanese foods but not buffet d. Sad :P
Nonetheless, the foods is nice! Very nice. :)

Ah Beng is one of the bestest buddies that never fail to be my victim of mumbling. Hahaha.. Thank you very much for being there for me always. For all the craps and advise and craps. Don't ever 'dump' me yo!

And this lunch is more special with Li Xin appearing! One of my best ji mui who doesn't talk a lot but have great sensor and great love for friends and pure pure heart and she can give great advise if you need one :)
You know.. being with me too much will make you evil :P

Surprise continues with a hand made birthday cake from dear Yunn Yunn :)
Hehehe.. Gan dong! Thank you very much for the efforts dear!*love* :)

3rd Birthday celebration is also a never failed every year from best buddies - Edwin and Bok Yao :)
Starting since our life in UKM up until now and hopefully until we grow old together :)

Love you two lots too!
Also is the 2 who always there to listen to my mumble. *Realise I love to mumble a lot*
Although we only meet up once in a while but I love that everytime we meet up, I won't have that stranger feeling with both of you :)

The last but not least for this year is from deardear it self :)
Sorry that I had to made you adjust and adjust and re-adjust your plan and end up screw up all your plan. Wahahahaha... *flexibility - that's what I love about you* :P

Nevertheless, I love that surprise a lot! *do it more often can? :P*
And although we only had a not so simple meal but I'm content as really feel like having that meal. Haha .. (we had enough of good meals all the time!) Thanks for everything! Love you lots! :)

And also not forgetting a simple dinner celebration from my parents. :)
The most valuable assets of mine. Thank you for everything!

So that's it.. end of my 2010 birthday. I'm old d! But the more you grow old, the wiser you are, isn't it? :P
And also thank you everyone for the wishes and greetings :)
Have a happy new year 2011!~

:: Tao @ Sunway Giza ::

For some, after two years since graduation, this is the first meet up. To be frank, I didn't have enough time to put much effort in this gathering. Nevertheless, I thanks everyone that make it. Thanks for the memories and hope you all enjoy it as much as I did :)
*And so I guess, the next gathering wouldn't be any nearer. Sigh .. so hard to gather everyone out o*

Food review. After list down some options of places, activities and eateries, it surprises me that almost all of you had opt for Tao buffet. After all the good review from Tao @ Penang huh? With the price of RM58+, for feasting from 1130am-4pm, it's a good bargain, I suppose.
For me, compare this to Xenri , Xenri is better as the buffet is ready made, meaning you doesn't need to wait for the foods to be serve. But buffet based on order-type is good too, meaning it is freshly made. So .. win-win situation.

Compare to Rakuzen , both is all-you-can-eat-order-type-buffet, Tao is better. As for Rakuzen's, they took some time to prepare the foods and the portions is quite small, meaning you have to keep ordering and waiting. However, it is good in a sense that you can try more foods, as you try in small portions, isn't it? And Rakuzen had more options that I love to eat as the choices consists of 'light foods' while the foods in Tao's menu is quite 'heavy'. So again .. win-win situation.
But I believe, everything is depend on what and how you want things to be *Seems like carry a different meaning already :P*. For me, it doesn't matter. What matter most is that we meet and we craps. Foods is just 'side dishes'.

p/s : Friends forever ;)

.:Penang Makan Trip 2010:.

For the year 2010, this is my first local trip. *wao .. it really seems like I hardly off for vacation this year @@*

A very nice trip with a bunch of people whom I hardly know. *unexpected*
But couldn't push away the fact that they are so nice and friendly and funny :)
*Guess need to thanks the one who 'force' me to go with them*

Trip begin at 430am on 19th June 2010.
I barely get any sleep the whole night, and it's a miracle that I don't faint.

Reaching Penang at 9am+. =D
Nice weather. In fact too nice that it burns my skin. @@

Our first stop was Kek Lok Si temple.
We actually didn't walk the whole temple. Instead, just the top peak.
The day was really hot @@
*But I really feel that Penang is always that hot*

Second stop was Snake Temple.

Third stop was .. The Siamese Temple. *am I right? ^.O*

And the beach of course!
Always love the seaside =D

And the last stop for the day .. HardRock Hotel.
I damn love this place so much!
Aherm .. can I have my birthday celebration here this year? *hint hint*
Oya .. I left out Toy Museum. But seriously nothing special there.

And the next day, we had our breakfast here.
Off to the museum and then hit back to KL.
We actually didn't went much places. Seems like this it is more to a makan trip.
But I actually really wanted to go to the 'small genting' there. :(

The foods ^^
Seriously missing it a lot now.
Now I feel that KL foods really isn't comparable. LOL.
Our first Penang meal was at somewhere around Ayer Itam morning market.

Had all these there.
Seriously love it.Not the koay chap .. dont like that. :P

Second stop for foods.
I dont know where is this though.

We had cendol and kuey teow.
Very very nice!
Especially the non spicy kuey teow =D

Third round.
A food court near the seaside.
I cant say the foods is nice. But just to cure our hungry tummy.

And our supper-dinner.
I was really sleepy and tired that time that I really dont feel like eating already.
And I dont know where is this either. Hehe..

I love this pizza a lot.
Rich with cheeses and damn nice! ^^
Available from xin jim shan at Jalan Machaslister..Penang georgetown.

Second round of supper.
At small house beside coffee island at gurney drive....

Mango crepe. Nice! ^^

This is so-so only.
Too creamy d.

Our breakfast on our second day.
This is at dian xim zhi jia....opposite KDU jalan anson. *according to my tour guide*
The dim sum is very nice and to my surprise . . cheap as well! ^^

Then our brunch at I-Dont-Know-Where.

And I-Dont-Know-What-Is-This.
I only know it is very nice!

Together with meehon fish head.
No fish head pun la. Only got fish fillet.
Love this one a lot too! Very very very nice! ^^
That's all for the trip.

And .. I bought this back as souvenir.
Hehe .. this thing really .. need to berebut to get it.
But I don't really like it too.
Don't seem to be any special for me.

Penang .. when only I will be back again?
p/s : location is provided by my tour guide :)
