Bangkok Day 3: After You & Chocolate Ville

On Day 3, we went for shopping~

After tired of walking around, we stop by After You cafe which was so famous.

But it's weird that the patrons were so few.

We ordered the Shibuya Toast.

Hrmm.. I don't really like it. But he said that it tasted good though.

We then take Uber to Chocolate Ville.

Remember to do booking at their FB before you go there.

We were seated at the bridge with this view.

As usual. Beer and Orange Juice :)

Asparagus ~

Fried rice with  pork. Em.. not nice. The portion is big too.

Pan Seared tuna with soba.. something like that. Couldn't remember. But couldn't beat the taste that we had in Singapore.

I intend to order fish cake. But they ran out of stock!

So I have the prawn balls instead. Too much for me and tasted not good for me.

Overall, the foods were so-so only. Prices were OK.

It's just a place for photos. Can visit one time but I won't come for second time.

Bangkok Day 2: Chatuchak & Asiatique

Both my favorite place in Bangkok.

On day 2, we spent the first half of the day in Chatuchak and the second half in Asiatique.

After a tiring walk inside Chatuchak, we came across this cafe in Soi 2.

I'd forgotten the name though.

Roselle juice.

Pad thai. This is good!

Rice with basil pork. OK. Not bad.

At Asiatique, after walk around, we finally decided to go back to Happy Fish.

The place we went 2 years ago.

Seems like nothing had change.

Beer and juice.

I choose to eat pork ribs. The meat was too much for me.

After having few bites, I started to feel full and lost my appetite.

The healthy him opt for Grilled Sea Bass with green curry sauce.

This is OK.

However, for this visit, we lost that 'óhm' and felt that it is not as good as the first time we were here.

Kub Kao Kub Pla @ EmQuartier, Bangkok

A short trip to Bangkok.

Arriving late at Bangkok, we settled our dinner at nearby mall and call it a day.

After walking around, we decided to try out this restaurant.

We opt for set menu.

He choose rice with pork knuckle. THB200. 

And I took the rice with green curry. THB220.

Both sets were very aromatic. The smell of the dishes when it were served were so appetizing and tempting. However, when it was placed into our mouth, it seems like the taste is too mild for us. Hrmm.. not the thai foods we hoping for.

Day 2: Bangkok Seafood

Staying at Pratunam area, we went to try out the salt coated grilled fish

Nothing fancy, just a street food stalls with fold table and chairs.

However, the queue was so long and it is so crowded.

Salt coated grilled fish. Cheap and fresh.

We add on Tom Yam. The tom yam is so-so only for me.

As they use evaporated milk to replace coconut milk. I prefer coconut milk!

Directions to this food stalls street:

From Platinum Fashion Mall, walk towards Central World. The stalls are located by the road side after you cross the river. We opt for the first stall from Central World.

Day 2: Hua Hin (Santorini Park & Swiss Sheep Farm)

We start our day with English Breakfast from a cafe nearby to our hotel.

One set cost THB140.

We took taxi service which cost THB1400 for a taxi which will fetch us to 3 tourist attraction - which we had chosen Santorini Park, Swiss Sheep Farm & Hua Hin Royal Palace.

Yea.. THB1400 was expensive.

 Entrance fees was THB150/ adult.

Santorini Park is divided into five zone - Park Zone, Village Zone, Activities Zone, Rest Area and Shopping.

 Park Zone is essentially the amusement park part, with rides and games set on vast landscaped grounds.

 This is the Village Zone which resembles Greek island’s village architecture and its chilled-out coastal vibe.

It is a 2-storey building consists of shopping boutiques.

 All other entertainment inside Hua Hin Park incurs another cost.

So, in less than 1 hour, we left Santorini Park.

And proceed to our next destination - Swiss Sheep Farm.

 Entrance fees is THB120/ adult.

Each entrance ticket grants you a bunch of weeds to be feed to the sheeps.

 We then walk around the farm.

The hot weather was really a killer.

We then left Swiss Sheep Farm, within 1 hour.

Our next stop was Hua Hin Royal Palace.

We did not took any photo inside because it was not so interesting and the weather was so scorching hot, we just call it a day and went back to enjoy our hotel facilities.

We then check out and head back to Bangkok!

Day 1: Hua Hin (Plearnwan & Chatsila)

After safely landed at Don Mueng Aiport, we board A2 bus to Victory Monument, which is park at the provided area within the airport, along the arrival platform at entrance No.7 of Terminal 1. It cost 30 baht each person and services every 20 minutes.

From Victory Monument, we took the minivan to Hua Hin.It cost 180 baht per person.

(The Hua Hin vans board in the alleyway next to Century Movie Plaza close to the stairs at the southern end of Victory Monument BTS station. From the skytrain station, take the walkway towards south, descend the staircase on the east side to street level (So you can just walk over to the building on the right hand side and take the in-door staircase down). The minibus area is next to the stairs. Look for a small table with “Cha Am, Hua Hin” written in English to buy your ticket.)

After check in our hotel and have a quick lunch, we walk to Hua Hin Market Village and took TukTuk to Plearnwan. Tuk tuk cost us THB140/ tuktuk.

Plearnwan is a place with opportunities for photos. Other than that, nothing really interesting.

 So, this is the whole street of Plearnwan.

Less than 30 minute.. bye bye Plearnwan.

We took tuk tuk to Hua Hin night market for our dinner. The short distance cost us another THB140.

 The whole street is filled with seafood restaurant.

We settle down at Lung Ja Seafood :)

 Mixed Vegie.

 Thai Green Curry. This was too spicy for me.

From Krabi to Phuket to Hua Hin. the best green curry I'd ever tasted is still the first green curry I'd tried - at Krabi.

Grilled Squid.

Too chewy. Not to my liking too.

Our dinner above include a bottle of Chang and one coconut drink cost us THB460. Not too bad.

After our dinner, we walk over to Chatsila Night Market which is interlink with Hua Hin night market. Nothing much can be buy here though.

G Hua Hin @ Hua Hin, Bangkok

 I don't usually post about the hotel I stayed in. But this is exceptional.

I very much want to share this as the stay was too superb to be forgotten.

G Hua Hin. We only booked a normal standard room for the price of Rm270.

But we was very lucky that we got upgraded for free to their suit room which come with bath tub & jacuzzi!

*happy scream*

The service was very good too! The receptionist brought us up to our room and do a simple introduction to the room.

So, you'll come in to their living hall.

 It was so cosy and the sofa is too large that it can actually be a day bed for me.

Next to the living room, is the Extra King Size Bed.

 The bed was so soft and comfortable!

I couldn't help smiling from ear to ear looking at the room.

And there was an entry.

 

To the bathroom!

 The bath tub, shower area & toilet.

And at your balcony, you'll have a lazy bed.

 

And an outdoor jacuzzi, looking towards the beach.

This is my first time stay in such a luxurious room, even though only for 1 night.

It was such a bliss! :)

And not forgot to mention, the housekeeping was great! After check in and had a quick shower, we went out for walk. When we are back into the room after dinner, we found that they had housekeeping our room and lit up the aromatherapy (my favorite lemongrass oil) for us. It feels so comfortable after a tiring walk.

5D 4N Hua Hin - Bangkok

Our annual trip this year was Bangkok!

I'd never been to Bangkok and was not so tempted to go as the weather is too hot. But from this trip, I had fallen in love with Bangkok! It is really a shopping heaven! If there is chance in near future, I would like to visit Bangkok again for another round of shopping trip! :)

Our 5 Day 4 Night Bangkok Trip was definitely not enough to be spare.

Day 1: KL - Bangkok - Hua Hin

Check in to G-Hua Hin. Amazing room! I could spend whole day in the room!

You see! How pack was the schedule. I'd even skipped all the temples and boat rides as time is not sufficient.
