::Gerai Makan Japanese BBQ @ Taman Desa, KL::

I was hunting for nice foods recommendations on the web and I found this out.
From pictures posted by those food-bloggers, this place attracted me. It somehow looks so special, a scene I always seen in Japanese drama.
So I drag the bf out to hunt this place out. We have some difficulties looking for this place as it is hidden.
To be easy, just search for Fisherman's Wharf in your GPS. Park your car and walk to the alley behind the shop lots. It is hidden behind there! And we are lucky to found it when we almost giving up.

Charcoal BBQ.
Pork Loin RM10
Pork Belly RM10
Vegies RM5
DIY.
Risotto RM6
Ramen RM12

Basically it is special yet nothing special. I enjoyed the BBQ session but the fact that we can do this on our own at home which would be more cost saving just dampen the mood. Well .. nothing wrong to try out new things once a while. Something you called "pay to eat for the sake of the environment/ mood". :)

Gerai Makan Japanese BBQ

::2011 Birthday with Besties::

I'm grateful that for so many years, we still able to meet up during our birthdays :)
As usual, although it is just a simple celebration, but the remembrance is what I appreciate.
Thanks Edwin and Bok Yao.
For being there all along. Since uni life. For sharing all the ups and downs that I had in my life. For all the advices and gossips and stories. Thinking back makes me feel old and once so stupid :)
Lovely and special jelly cake :)
Happy :)
Thanks for the macaroons! Once .. I wanted to tried so much but because it is quite expensive, I never really spend on it. But I got a few for my birthday this year! :)

Hope we can stay like this until we grow old!~

Happy New Year

It's already 21st of January 2012! How fast time flies.
I'm here to wish all Happy New Year (very late already of course!) and Happy Chinese New Year.. not forgetting Happy Holidays!~ (i got a whole week for holiday! :) )

And finally I had finish posted up the stories of Journey of Perth.
The delay is caused by my laptop which had RIP and the busy schedule ever since the trip.
Huh.. writing back the whole stories make me misses the trip so much. How I wish I could be back in Aussie. Anyway, I file it up at November because.. it was in November and it suppose to be there XD

2011 seems to pass by in a fast manner. What had I achieved? Let's see ..
1. Monetary: I able to achieve what I wish I could. Although I wish it could be better.
2. Vacations: 2 oversea trip (Bali and Perth) and 4 local trips (Penang, Melaka, Cameron and Cameron .. don't count Genting in .. it's not a trip and I'd been there quite a few times in 2011) .. uh-oh.. not achieving my target though. Again.. I wish it could be better.
3. Health: Achieved! Very the healthy in 2011 :)
4. Career: For this, I could open a post and rant about it for whole day. In short, I only can say I have 'culture shock'. I can't deny the fact that I'd learn a lot - not only technically but emotionally; being given that I was from a mini manufacturing crossing to a gigantic manufacturing industry. Stress and pressure was the key word. Although I somehow feel only me feels that way, when I'd seen my colleagues are quite relax. Most of the time, I just feel like handing up the 'letter' and say goodbye; but many factors just stop me from being too bullish. I can't give up yet. No. Not now. But in a good way, I'd meet a lot of people who eventually befriended. That's one of the reason that keeps me staying :)

It's 2012. Let the pass passed. But .. the fact is, I am yet to set my target for 2012! Hohoho~ so for this 1 whole week holiday that I have .. I will take my time to slowly think and plan for it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

::Senjyu Sushi @ e@Curve::

Here is my another Groupon purchase. 60% off: Assorted Sashimi OR Seafood Tempura Set for RM13.90 instead of RM34.80. With 1749 people bought this voucher, we had some minor problem with our reservation and end up having it at quite an odd time.
The entrance, environment and ambiance always give me this feeling that Senjyu must be one of the fine dining Japanese restaurant. So when Groupon giving out offer, I must grab it!

We ordered Rainbow Maki RM28 as our snack :)
Yummy! :)
And here come our voucher redemption. Assorted Seafood Tempura Set.
And assorted sashimi set.
For tempura set, the rice is warm and for sashimi set, the rice is cold (some kind like sushi rice).
To be frank, the presentation of the bento kinda disappointed me.
For tempura set - consists more of vegie tempura.
For sashimi set - the slices looks too thin and only 4 types.
And when I dig into the rice, it only consists of a thin layer of rice.
Same for both set.
Oh well.. I can't complaint much as this is discounted set. But hey.. since you gave the discount, shouldn't it be the same portion as the un-discounted? Maybe I should just assume that the un-discounted set contains the same portion as well. If that is the case, well .. uh-huh .. it's quite pricey huh?!
I am disappointed with the service as well. I only have one cup of ocha. The waitress was 'too busy' to refill for us even though we had requested several time. Same goes to when we requested for our bill. Perhaps we should have just leave without paying.

::Ole Ole Bali @ Sunway Pyramid::

I had been here several times too! LOL!
This time I bring the bf here for a 'candle light fine dining of nasi campur'. Next time I will just bring him to the REAL candle lite nasi campur - by the road side.
How romantic..
The music and decoration brings back the feel of Bali.
Mojito Lemongrass RM13 .. I always ordered this here.
Ice blended honey dew with mint and honey RM11. Yummy!~
Nasi Campur RM35 - you will get a small bowl of white rice, satay ikan, rendang ayam, chili kangkung, grilled squids and prawns (yummy!) and grilled fish. 2 of us shared this. It's not fulfilling enough to share this but will be too much if we ordered one more extra dish.
