Salisa Resort & Restaurant, Koh Lipe

After a tiring snorkeling day trip,we decided to have our dinner nearby to our resort.

Not doing any homework, we ended up at Salisa Resort & Restaurant.

The bright lights in the dark seaside was what attracted us.

After flipping through the menu, the price was not too expensive.

Dinner on the beach facing the sea.. why not?

Som Tam also known as Green Papaya Salad.

Taste good as appetizers.

Grilled sliced fish THB200.

The sauce is very nice :)

Thai Yellow Curry.

Thai style salted egg fried squid.

Sweet and sour sauce chicken .

Itadakimasu.

I couldn't recall the price of each dishes but the total bill come up as THB1030.

The foods is delicious and the price was almost similar from what you can get around Koh Lipe. The plus point for this restaurant is that you get to dine on the beach, facing the sea.

And I wonder why there is no one blog about this place.

I highly recommend here! :)

Nee Papaya, Koh Lipe

For dinner, we had it at Nee Papaya as suggested by Tripadvisor.

Hot weather.

It is really hot. So we opt to sit near to walkway.

Fresh seafoods!

Grilled upon order.

Seriously, the beer is cheaper than water.

The highly recommended fried chicken wing. 4 pcs THB10.

I find it so-so only, but the others commented it is tasty.

Chicken Green Curry.

Not the best I'd had.

Prawns! Big prawns. 3 for THB30.

And grilled tipalia.

The white sauce is yummy.

Overall, it is a satisfying meal, seafoods are fresh too.

Sunrise Beach Restaurant, Koh Lipe

I did some survey on what to eat in Koh Lipe and this was one of the many in the list. 

Located just next door to our resort, we opt here for our first meal in Koh Lipe.

The menu.

No coconut available that day. So I choose the watermelon juice. THB70.

Hrmm.. the juice was not sweet.

Pad thai. THB 90. Not bad.

Fried Noodles with Spicy Herbs & Basil Leave. THB90. Really spicy!

Fried Rice Crab THB120. This is disappointing me. Tasteless. I can't see the crab!

Overall.. this is not the best Thai Foods I'd had.

The price was a bit expensive than usual, but take into consideration that it face the crystal clear sea.

3D 2N Koh Lipe: Day 1

Our annual trip this year was Koh Lipe, Thailand.

We arrived Koh Lipe from Telaga Harbour, Langkawi.

I'd booked the ferry ticket online, earlier as I worry the limited seats of the ferry.

There are 2 departure time from Langkawi: 9.30am and 2.30pm.

The journey took 90 minutes and cost RM248/pax for return tickets. You get discount RM20 per person for online booking, and there is transaction charge of RM10 per transaction.

Take note that ferry from Langkawi only operates from November until May.

Please also take note to wear short pants and sandals. This is because the ferry will stop at a deeper sea and this long tail boat will come to pick you up from there before drop you on the beach.

Afterall, you are going to sea, sun & sand vacation. So, just put on your shorts & sandals.

Arriving Koh Lipe.

This is the immigration. You need to wait here to collect your passport which had been hand over to the officers in Langkawi. It's a long long wait!

Finally we got our passport and check in to our hotel.

I'd booked Wapi Resort which located on Sunrise Beach. This second row from sea chalet cost RM390/ night. Guess it's due to the high season.

Clean and spacious.

After drop our luggage, we walk to next door (Sunrise Beach Restaurant) for our lunch.

And back to our resort for a relax evening.

We then had a stroll along the beach.

Looking at the local kids enjoying swimming.

And then proceed to Walking Street to hunt for our dinner.

Then we saw this! Buffet seafood for only 490THB!
