:: Ficelle @ Taman Danau Desa ::

Another yum cha and 38 session with the besties.
Early Grey with Lemon RM6.50 .. I think the warm earl grey tea is still the best.
Spaghetti Bolognese RM17 .. Hmm.. doesn't impress me. No, not this plate of thing is not tasty, just that because I know how to made this on my own, I always feel that paying to eat something that I know how to make is kind of wastage.
Mushroom soup RM6.

Overall, I prefer to go to their other branch, Levain at KL. Because they have indoor with air conds. The only drawback of Levain is that it can get very noisy when it is too crowded.

:: The Loaf @ Subang Empire ::

When it comes to yum cha session with my friends, I tend to opt for cafe, boulangerie, patiserrie. Just because we can sit there for half day holding our coffee or tea with breads and cakes and gossiping. Nyek~

The Loaf - the first outlet we'd tried was the one in Langkawi, where we were attracted by the spaghetti.  Too bad the outlet in Subang Empire does not offer that. They only have breads, cakes, pastries. So these is what we had...

Doesn't really impressed me though.

minibake: chocholate muffin

I hardly had time to bake nowadays. Although the great mixer and oven had been bought and placed nicely in the kitchen, i only able to use them once a week. Last week, I made chocolate muffin despite the kids requested for chocolate cookies. I still don't have the confidence to make cookies.
I can't find a nice cup, so I made them on my own. Folding is a disaster! So I bought myself muffin tray this week. Although I still think, self made cups is nicer.
Because I can use any paper that attracted me.
Love the brown linen paper. Love the vintage color. The muffin turn out great! But the color is too dark though.

Happy weekend peeps :)

:: Smoke House @ Bangsar ::

Always wanted to come here after several friends commented about this place, of how cosy the environment is and the not so expensive meal. Hmmm.. So, after a busy day, wondering where to have dinner, we came here..
This place give me the English feel but not the cosy environment that I expect tho. I would love if the chair is more plushy for me to lean my lazy body after a whole tiring day. Yep, they have sofa but I don't want to sit on a sofa having my dinner tho.
When the place/ day give him some 'feeling', he will order wine. LOL! Frontera Savignon Blanc. RM17.
I will just go with watermelon juice. I need some cold sweet stuff to re-energize. RM10.
Devilled Chic RM28. Look at the portion! It's really devil (for me). Nonetheless, nothing to shout about for the taste.
Grilled Dory RM26. Also nothing to shout about.

In conclusion, the place and environment is OK but doesn't help me to release my stress or make me feel more relax and enjoy on that day. Perhaps that's my problem.

#25 Top Spot @ Kuching

We walk and walk and walk to search for this place. And.. it's actually located just right in front of Lembaga Hasil Cukai, in the same building with Medan Kereta, near to Pullman hotel.. grr.. thinking back we pass by Medan kereta so many time but does not notice the top spot sign which was place so high above.
Remember to look up.
So many people and stalls. And we opt for #25.
The seafoods!!~
We ordered bamboo lala.
Mirin
Salted egg sotong.
Crabs.
and a cucumber soup. And all these cost us only RM58!!
So super cheap that I could not believe it!!~
