::Perth Day 5: Pinnacles and 4WD Sand Dunes::

Start our day 4 journey by running to Barrack St Jetty!
We thought they suppose to pick us up at the hostel, so we waited until 7am and hostel reception told us that normally we need to come here, to their office for pick up! $%%^^&*
So we ran as tour bus will depart at 730am.
Oh.. the 4wd arrived..
We go up the er.. bus? lorry? I dont know what it is called.. They called it 4WD.
And arrived at Caversham Wildlife Park.
Our tour package is AU$165/ pax..
This is our first destination which cost AU$22 but already included into our package. No fun coz travel so long in the bus but only able to spend 30 min here!
Anyway... wohooo~ KangarooSSS!!

Bye bye kangaroo!!
Wombat! Big lazy smelly thingy~
Koala~ Who sleep for 20hour/day. But being awaken by tourist..
30 minute is over... and we only manage to see these 3.
Haiz.. seriously I feel it's not worthy. If come in a big group, it's better to drive yourself here, so that you can have more that at your own leisure.
Another long ride to Lobster Shack.
Nothing here.. a place where they catch and process lobster and convinve us to buy it.
AU$15 onwards, half lobster, depending on size. They stop here for our lunch.
The raw foods which left me lao sai #$%^&*
Spectacular view for me. White sands, clear water, blue skies! :)
Here we are at Pinnacles Dessert! Very sunny day.
We were given 1 hour for the dessert trail walk.
Last picture before we left the hot sunny dessert.
Here we are! Lancelin Sand dunes!! We started off with 4WD sand duning.
Then each of us is given a sand board... wohoo~
Here I come!! Whhheeee~~~~ This is very nice!
Here he comes! Whee~~~
Bye bye Lancelin..
And that's how our AU$165 1 day trip goes..bKinda waste of money isn't it?
The sand boarding was fun though.
And for dinner, we went to Taka again.
Due to my 'tak puas hati' coz did not get the sushi yesterday! AU$12.50
Not that nice after all.. can get by RM12.50 from Jusco.
Chicken Don AU$12.50
This is nice! Hot warming rice with tasty chicken!!!

There goes our 5 days in Perth. 1 more day only to spend here...

::Perth Day 4: Margaret River - Perth::

Day 4. Good Morning Margaret River! Temperature is 14 degree celcius and it's quite sunny out there.
Start our trip in Margaret River.. Where all the regrets for the day begin..
It's very difficult since every places operate from 9am-4pm.
Even caving also starts at 9am and we have to wait! Entrance fees is AU$22.. we skipped anyway.
We hop to Lake Cave. Entrance fees is AU$22 too.
But we are here since we have the free entrance into their interpretive corner, get from the Leeuwin Lighthouse ticket we bought yesterday.
Ok.. Forget about caving trip. Let's change to wineries trip.
The first wineries we stop by, since we pass by them.
But we did not went for the wine tasting. Should say, they are not open yet..
We continue to Leeuwin Estate.. one of the seem famous wineries. We have the free wine testing. Nice!
We wanted to join the tour bcoz I want to know how they produce wine, but the tour start only at 11am..
We dont have such much time to wait :(
Wineries .. :)
So we skipped and went to next door. Are they rivals actually?
The entrance and surrounding is so grand. Very neat and tidy with plants.
Classic. I love it :)
Wine testing counter.. where we had few glasses for free.. kaka..
Actually they ask us to spit it after test, commenting it is dangerous for driving. The barrel there is for spits.. but we swallow it anyway. feel it's a waste to spit it out. lol.. After happily bought 2 wine for our parents, we then head back to the town of Margaret River to grab some lunch and do some shopping :)
Another quiet town.
We grab a AU$13 set lunch from Chicken Treat (fast food). 1/4 chicken which is very tiny, fries, mash potato (from machine) and chicken burger. Uh-oh.. not so nice.
Stop by Fudge Factory.
I always thought factory should be something like my company? Big gigantic mass production place?
I always thought this is named as open kitchen shop? Hrmm..
Nth special but we end up spending AU$22.50 for fudges. LOL!
Brought home for families and friends testing, which I don't even think it's enough for distribution of 5 ppl. Now that I think back, I felt that it's damn expensive! We then go to hunt for nougat for my ah dear.
We did some sampling but only can afford to buy one bar back. One bar already cost AU$15.
*again, I wish I am filthy rich*
But I really think they shouldn't sell in bar and should sell in small size instead. Sigh..
Next.. the chocolate company! Hohoho~ Chocolates!! A lot!!
We got voucher for purchasing chocolates at the chocolate company, which require us to come 400m here for chocolate wine testing.
Only a sip of it.. Cheeeehhh! But tasted nice though!
End of shopping spree in MR.. it's time to start our driving trip back to Perth. We are getting late already.

It's a regret we are not able to spend longer at MR. Such a waste. If I had more time, I will go to all the wineries for free wine tasting. And go for more 'factories' .. and dine a luxurious dinner with a glass of wine.
And here we are reaching Busselton after more than 1 hour drive..
The Simmo's .. which seem famous in Aussie.
And so we bought one scoop of choc mint ice cream with AU$4. Nice!~
The Busselton Jetty.
Bye bye Busselton =(
It's a regret we unable to go in the jetty and walk the 2km jetty until the end of it. I guess there is nothing much to see, but since we already here, we should at least walk there and decide either to go the underwater observatory or not.
Limited time.. left us without choice. :(
After speeding due to rushing time to return our car.. here we are. Hello Perth City!
Looking for foods inside the town.. No idea what to have coz we need to hunt for cheap worthy foods.
We end up here seeing so many ppl inside.
She took my order wrongly!!! #$%^&& And gave me sashimi rice instead of sushi cost me AU$12.50. Sashimi is very fresh. But I can't accept it eating this few pieces of sashimi with a bowl of rice. Hurrr..
Tuna don.. AU$12.50
The room we slept for 3 nights for AU$235/ 3 nights.
I'm ok with the small room and shared toilet concept. But I can't take it that behind this hostel is railway station and the trains choo choo until 3am in the morning @@

::Perth Day 3: Walpole - Margaret River::

Day 3: We started our journey at 8am. Temperature is 13 degree celcius. Cold >.<
We had bread with tuna as our breakfast, and this groceries was bought the day before from Wolsworth. Cost-saving :)
We stop by Coalmine Beach in Walpole to have a look :)
This is what we saw. Empty cold beach. We get back to our car for the next destination since it is so cold out here with breeze from the sea.
So we continue our journey to our next destination - Giant Tingle Tree. With the help of TomTom and road sign (worry not. the road sign in Perth are quite easy to understand. for tourist attraction area, there is a unique symbol as a guide). On our way, we stop by Hilltop Look Out Point.

Bibbulmun Track.. you can see this track anywhere in Perth. I think it connects to many many places from Albany up to Margaret River.. 5000+km walk, if I'm not mistaken.
This short walk is just a tiny dust part of the walk. 5km.. you might call that short walk.. but NO for me.
This is what you can see from Hilltop Look Out Point. It will be more spectacular without the high trees blocking the sight. From here, there is another 5km to the Giant Tingle Tree.
5km?!! Nah.. Let's not walk.. Let's let our car do the walk.. ^^
And let's us just enjoy the show with HEATER in the car! =)
Arrived! Haha.. 5km is so easy with car.. nyek nyek nyek~
Let's start our walk to the giant tree.. 300m only jek...
Oh yeah? It makes me breathless somehow.. I don't like to walk in the cold freezing weather! :(
This is the GIANT tree!
How giant it is?
As GIANT as this!
*amaze!*
Next we head to Valley of the Giants where it is abundant with the giant tingle tree.
Entrance fees is AU$12.50
At certain time, they provide free tour guide to tell stories of the jungle.
Uncle so bersemangat!!
Amaze by the biology stories he told. At that moment, I felt my biology-genetic lesson I'd learnt is so useful. LOL..
Maybe I should migrate to Aussie and work there as environmentalist!
We almost miss this bridge..
Actually the Au$12.50 you paid is for a walk on this 40m above ground tree top walk. We initially thought is the walk lead by the tour guide. Lucky we realise it before we leave.
Well.. skytrex is more thrilling of course. This is just.. a leisure walk to see.. tree tree and more trees.
Wuuu~ so high above.
*proven I'm not suitable for Skytrex*
I've got not much confident with the bridge.
This is our last stop in Walpole as we need to catch up with our schedule. From here, we continue our journey down to Margaret River.
After an hour drive, tummy is growling.
Looking for town.. we pass by Pemberton and stop here for lunch for our tummy and car.
The Fizz Cafe.. looks like the only cafe alive here.
Fish and chips.. AU$14
The chips is so a lot!!
Coffee again.. LOL.. AU$4
The dead-look Pemberton town.
And finally we reach Margaret River after 2 hour drive.
Our first stop is Cape Leeuwin Light House.
We took the lighthouse tour which cost AU$17 each :)
This is where you can view the southern ocean and indian ocean meets.
This is the view from the top of the lighthouse. Very amazed by the beauty of nature. Nice one! :)
Saw that? At the center there? There is where the two ocean meets..
Amazing isn't it?
After around 15 minutes up at the top of the lighthouse, enjoying the spectacular view and strong wind.. it's time to get back down the ground.
I have a difficult time climbing up and down this stairSSS.. it's scary!
Anyway.. we then head to check in into our hostel.
YHA Hostel Margaret River. This room cost AU$67, we get 10% discount as YHA member. From all the YHA hostels we stayed, I like this the most. Little cosy modern room :)
As our cost saving plan, we cooked! It is really much cheaper to cook on your own.
That's it.. Day 3 of our journey in Perth. I misses this trip a lot :)
